The Bornemisza Castle dates from the XVII century which conceals a long and eventful history. The castle was one of the most important royal castles from Transylvania and it was built in several stages. Initially, this was build as a resting place for the principe Gheorghe Rakoczy I the first, when he came to hunt. After many years, the castle became a dendrological park, than was arrenged as an hunting castle.

From 1893, served as school where where trained specialists in forests, however, starting with the construction of a  new building for the forestry school, nowadays, the castle became a Hunting museum. It is opened for tourists with a tax for access.
